Delivery

Horizons 2005 / Delivery / Greece 2004

A young man comes to Athens and starts delivering pizzas. As he rides his scooter around the big city he listens to people talk: they always came looking for happiness, but somehow slid down to the very bottom.

Delivery Delivery

Synopsis

Every metropolis has its dark corners where some people have to live — lonely, unhappy, desperate, homeless, friendless. One night a young man appears among them who has come to Athens from god knows where. He gets off a bus, sleeps at the bus station, and goes to look for work the next morning. The best job he can find is as a pizza deliverer — that is, if he can quickly find his way around a modern megalopolis that never sleeps. He rides his scooter through the streets delivering boxed pizza and silently listening to dejected, angry and unwanted people talk about their lives. They came looking for happiness but sank to the depths, with only dreams
left to comfort them.
