In My Room

Another View 2018 / In My Room / Germany, Italy 2018

Armin lives alone and avoids any and all commitments. He’s spent so long deciding among the options his freedom offers that they’ve now all become wasted opportunities. When he wakes up one day to discover that mankind has almost completely disappeared, he will, for the first time ever, have to decide what to do with his life…

In My Room In My Room

Synopsis

No matter what we do in life, as we get older our options shrink. No door stays open forever, especially if you avoid serious commitments like 40-year-old cameraman Armin, who has just drifted through life. But now he gets an unexpected opportunity: one morning, he wakes up to discover that everyone around him has disappeared. Except for one woman… But this story of the last two people on Earth is not your typical dystopian tale. It’s a post-apocalyptic Western layered with an ironic portrait of contemporary Germany. But above all it is the story of two people given the chance to start a new life – if they can escape their past, that is.
