And the creatures roaming the town seem vaguely familiar… In his zombie comedy, which opened this year’s festival in Cannes, the peerless Jim Jarmusch allows himself some blistering comments on the current state of American politics. Also starring Chloë Sevigny and other members of Jarmusch’s movie family: Tom Waits, Iggy Pop, Tilda Swinton, RZA, and Steve Buscemi. Behind the lens stood the legendary Frederick Elmes (Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, The Ice Storm, Paterson).
