Synopsis

Cliff (Bill Murray) and Ronnie (Adam Driver), two otherwise calm police officers in the sleepy town of Centerville, are beginning to get worried. Animals are disappearing without a trace, clocks have stopped, and night isn’t falling. The news on TV is terrifying and scientists are showing clear signs of concern. And the creatures roaming the town seem vaguely familiar… In his zombie comedy, which opened this year’s festival in Cannes, the peerless Jim Jarmusch allows himself some blistering comments on the current state of American politics. Also starring Chloë Sevigny and other members of Jarmusch’s movie family: Tom Waits, Iggy Pop, Tilda Swinton, RZA, and Steve Buscemi. Behind the lens stood the legendary Frederick Elmes (Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, The Ice Storm, Paterson).
