It all starts with Lula (Laura Dern), who has been waiting outside prison for her boyfriend Sailor (Nicolas Cage) to be released on parole, handing him his beloved snakeskin jacket. The wild couple are determined to be together despite Lula’s mother’s disapproval. They set out on a journey towards freedom under the watchful gaze of the Good Witch but followed by a private eye and a gang of hoodlums hired to kill Sailor.
