Synopsis

Small hooks dig into the flesh and tear the human body into pieces. Blood flows, an eye pops out of its socket. And all because of one little cube that could just as well be a paperweight. Naturally, the house where this tragedy took place is full of evil, and one drop of randomly spilled blood again feeds the evil forces. In his low-budget directorial debut, author Clive Barker introduced the world to the cult figure known as Pinhead, leader of the “explorers in the further regions of experience” – in other words, those incapable of distinguishing between pleasure and pain. Now, Hellraiser is back in a restored version, but never fear: the blood still conspicuously resembles ketchup, and the torn skin looks like pudding that’s been out on the kitchen counter too long.
