Remo Manfredini is a legendary but hopelessly indebted jockey who is constantly drinking and doing drugs. One important race can still save him, but it ends in tragedy and Manfredini finds himself on his deathbed. Will he get one last chance? Luis Ortega’s genre-busting film follows its silent, self-destructive hero as he is hounded by a mafia boss and his henchmen, and also by his pregnant girlfriend. All along, this absurd tragicomedy somewhat resembles its charismatic protagonist, refusing to follow a strictly defined path, constantly changing direction, and eluding any attempt at categorization.
