Rosy young AP learns from multiple psychics that there is a curse on her. In order to rid herself of it, she needs to get a thousand dollars and sacrifice a lamb. So begins her electrifying nighttime ride through the dreamlike industrial streets of Trashtown. It’s a journey filled with improbable encounters, absurd situations, and all kinds of games. American actress Annapurna Sriram’s titillating directorial debut, a reimagining of the Tarot’s “Fool’s Journey,” is an homage to B movies whose sugar-coated exterior hides an intimate, feminist, and in many respects progressive interior.
