Greek Apricots Greek Apricots

Synopsis

At first it looks like Mak’s night shift at a gas station will be as uninteresting as all his previous shifts. But the sleepy boredom is unexpectedly interrupted by the arrival of the female truck driver Nada. The at first routine conversation between sales clerk and customer becomes friendly when they discover that they are both from Macedonia – from the same village, even. As the air fills with memories of home, a bond forms between this seemingly incompatible pair. One of the main roles in this story of alienation is played by Labina Mitevska who made her debut in 1994’s Oscar-nominated Before the Rain.

Anna Kořínek
