Horizons / Krata Me / Cyprus, Greece, Denmark, USA 2026
Eleven-year-old Iris lives a quiet, though also somewhat empty, life in a sleepy coastal town – until, that is, her father unexpectedly returns. Although he has come because of a funeral and is initially not interested in getting to know his daughter, things change when Iris proves to be a good partner for his petty thefts and scams. Myrsini Aristidou’s feature debut sensitively captures the fleeting moments of a complicated relationship between two people finding their way to one another. This heartwarming story was the first Cypriot film to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award.
