Gary “Gal” Dove (Ray Winstone) has decided to retire from his life as a bank robber and moves from London to Spain with his wife. But Gal’s unpredictable former associate Don Logan (Ben Kingsley) has different plans, and visits him with an offer for one final job. Filled with gallows humor, Oscar-winning director Jonathan Glazer’s debut demonstrates his love for gangster films as well as his ability to take an exceptionally innovative and absolutely unpredictable approach to the genre.
