In 2007, French actress Juliette Binoche and British dancer and choreographer Akram Khan put their established and esteemed careers to the test. Working together, they spent seven months creating the unique performance In-I, which they then presented at a hundred different places around the world. Each artist visited the comfort zone of the other with the shared intention of analyzing a romantic relationship with ruthless authenticity. Many years later, the respected actress revisited hours of footage from rehearsals and the gripping performance itself in order to create a captivating documentary study that pulls the viewer deep into the creative process.
