Tributes / The Order / USA 2024
As FBI agent Terry Husk (Jude Law) investigates a series of robberies in the Pacific Northwest, he cannot shake the feeling that these are not just economically motivated crimes, but that behind them lies a much more dangerous ideology. The trail leads him to a violent neo-Nazi organization whose ambitions go far beyond ordinary criminality. Director Justin Kurzel’s The Order is based on the non-fiction book The Silent Brotherhood about the real-life investigation of a right-wing group that was active in the United States in the 1980s. His tense thriller, a combination of procedural drama with a chilling portrait of radicalization, reminds us how easily extremist ideas can grow into organized violence.
