No Barries Project Got Karlovy Vary Dancing Again

July 08, 2026, 19:13

The Karlovy Vary colonnade once again turned into a dance floor where professional dancers performed side by side with members of the Prague Wheelchair Sports Club. As part of the No Barriers Project, the Let's Dance Away the Barriers! event brought an afternoon full of energy, emotion and shared joy through movement.

Wheelchair dancers took to the floor alongside StarDance professionals Oskar Hes, Kateřina Bartuněk Hrstková and Martin Prágr, presenting original choreographies that showed how dance can transcend barriers while building trust, respect and genuine connection.

The No Barriers Project has been an integral part of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival since 2000. Its mission is to make the festival more accessible to wheelchair users by providing complimentary tickets to accessible cinemas, assistance services, specially adapted transportation around Karlovy Vary, reserved parking near Hotel Thermal and comprehensive information support.

Welcoming more visitors every year, the No Barriers Project continues to help make the festival a place that can be enjoyed by everyone. The No Barriers Project is made possible with the long-term support of its partner innogy and České dráhy helping make the festival more accessible to all visitors.
