Interview: Tony Revolori’s school of hard slaps

July 06, 2015, 6:00

Actor Tony Revolori, now 19, got his big break as the surprisingly resourceful bellhop Zero Moustafa in Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel and is riding a rising wave, with 16 films so far – including Prashant Nair’s Umrika, screening out of competition in KVIFF’s Official Selection. The Anaheim-born comic performer and musician seems more than geared up for new challenges to come.

So all these roles and world travels for such a young guy must be kind of a wild ride.
It’s a crazy whirlwind, whatever you’d like to call it. But it’s been amazing.

It must be – you’d normally be in university now. Or maybe you are?
No, I don’t believe in colleges. I think they’re great for certain people but I don’t think it’ll ever work for me and I will never go probably ever in my life. Maybe just for the experience. Just to see what it’s about. I have time to change my mind.
