Dangerous Summer Dangerous Summer

Synopsis

June 1940. According to all indications, Latvia will soon be swallowed up by the Soviet Union. Alarming information is leaking out of government and diplomatic circles. Baltic Germans are leaving the country. In the chaotic atmosphere of prognosis, conjecture and uncertainty, Isolda, a young woman from the upper echelons of the German community, falls in love with a Latvian radio reporter named Robert. His interests and attitudes dramatically complicate her original plans. This love story draws an accurate portrait of protagonists from rival power and political structures, particularly in its convincing evocation of the historical situation.
