Licking Wounds

Imagina 2023 / Licking Wounds / United Kingdom 2022

Licking Wounds Licking Wounds

Synopsis

A hangover dance and an allegory of a tough queer existence. A performative film which is as appealingly expressive (music by Hannah Holland) as it is bitterly sombre. Aesthetic shots of a male body amid deserted, neglected surroundings, where the well-honed torso contrasts with an expression of decay. A voyeuristic, yet also intimate experience, as exhilarating as a party, and as exhausting as the morning after.

Viktor Palák
