The Princess Bride

Tribute to Robin Wright 2023 / The Princess Bride / USA 1987

The Princess Bride The Princess Bride

Synopsis

Monsters, magic, miracles, life-and-death struggles, revenge, true love. Rob Reiner’s cult classic The Princess Bride embraces all the elements of the traditional fairy tale but strips its characters of the naivete typical of the genre. With a sense of lightness and ironic distance, it recounts the fantastic adventures of the beautiful Princess Buttercup (Robin Wright) and the Dread Pirate Roberts (Cary Elwes) in a tale full of mischievous, absurd, touching, and chilling moments – all with an outstanding cast of actors. Besides the enchanting Robin Wright, the film also brought international fame to the “gentle giant,” André the Giant.
