Errol and Sasha are studying at university; each is different, both are looking for closeness, someone to truly connect with. This tender and measured film, ostensibly set somewhere between vigorous impulses and lethargy, endeavours to capture the way in which we wrestle with our senses as one day flows into the next. The shared experience in this case doesn’t derive from emotional connection or dramatic action, but from an appreciation of time passing, a feeling for detail and for rendering fragments of the everyday, when a silent gaze tells us everything we need to know. Watching this film is like lingering in the shower, alone with our thoughts.
