Dear ladies and gentlemen,
I am glad that this year the ČEZ Group once again has the opportunity to support the cinematic arts and to be a partner to the Czech Republic’s most prestigious event in the world of film – the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. For me as a great lover of films and of the unique atmosphere of this spa town, the festival in Karlovy Vary is one of the biggest events of the year, and it is a personal honor for me that ČEZ will again be a part of it.
For the festival’s 59th edition, the ČEZ Group has once again put together a rich program of accompanying events, and also one new offering. For the first time ever, the public will have the chance to experience a new virtual tour of our distribution network, covering the path that electricity follows from the power plant to the outlets in our homes. And of course we are bringing back our virtual tours of nuclear power plants, of Dlouhé stráně, the country’s largest pumped-storage plant, and of renewable resources. Festivalgoers can enjoy these unforgettable experiences thanks to our VR goggles, which let them visit some of our country’s most guarded places straight from Karlovy Vary. Additionally, the ČEZ Group will provide you with wheels by once again partnering with the festival’s bicycle rental stations. And through our ČEZ Foundation, we support selected charitable projects.
