Why We Support the Festival

Dear festival visitors and filmmakers,

We have been the main partner of this unique festival for a number of years now, something we continue to be proud of – all the more when we see how the world of cinema reflects changes in the real world. Films have begun to explore issues of diversity and sustainability, there are visible efforts at increased gender balance in cinematic production, and filmmakers are making use of new technologies.

Vodafone shares these values. Through our technologies, we are helping to build a digital society that is open to all, without forgetting about the planet we live on. At the Vodafone Zone in Dvořák Park you can find out, in an entertaining manner, what steps we are taking in this direction and what you can do to promote greater sustainability. Our zone offers a pleasant setting in which you can take a break from the busy festival program while still making sure none of the fun eludes you. Or is it you who can’t elude the fun?

And if you download our improved Vodafone KVIFF Guide app, not only will your mobile phone have access to the festival program and other useful information, but you will also be able to reserve tickets to festival screenings.

I look forward to seeing you at one of the festival’s screenings or perhaps in the Vodafone Zone. And if for whatever reason you can’t make it to this year’s festival, Vodafone TV will bring the festival atmosphere right into your home.
