Lucifer – a highly original film that conceives of the eponymous protagonist showing up in a Mexican village on his way between Heaven and Hell – is one of 17 pictures in KVIFF’s Imagina section this year. In an interview, Belgian director Gust Van den Berghe discusses the striking format he adopted for the picture and the experience of working with a largely amateur cast in rural Mexico.
