Sunday dedicated to films about love. The premiere of Slow presented by a large delegation

July 02, 2023, 17:43

The programme of the festival’s third day seemed to have been dedicated to love stories. “We kicked off the morning with Minnie and Moskowitz, continued with the amazing debut Past Lives, and now you’re in for a wonderful film that proves the importance of filmmakers from countries of the former Eastern Bloc,” said Karel Och, artistic director of KVIFF, before the Sunday afternoon premiere of Slow at the Grand Hall.

The co-production film, which received the Directing Award at Sundance, was presented by a large delegation, including the director of photography Laurynas Bareiša, editor Silvija Vilkaité and actors Greta Grinevičiūtė and Kęstutis Cicėnas. The director Marija Kavtaradze spoke to the audience on behalf of the crew. “Thank you all for being here. I’m delighted that we are now bringing to Europe a film to which we have given a piece of our lives. I hope you will be able to feel it,” she wished the audience before the screening.
