July 01, 2024, 8:00

I you don’t like Monday, hide from it in the cinemas – the first screening starts at 8.30 am, the last at 11.59pm. Here are the tips for the fourth day of the festival.

At 11 am., the red carpet and the Grand Hall will welcome the delegation and screening of a unique documentary portrait I’m Not Everything I Want to Be. At 12.00 pm, you can continue at the Small Hall with a screening of a documentary road-movie from Ukraine Voyage Along the War, which will be followed by a debate. Director Steven Soderbergh will present his movie Kafka, shot in Prague, at the Municipal Theatre Karlovy Vary at 1.00 pm, and subsequently he will give a KVIFF Talk at the Congress Hall at 4.30 pm. Fans of student films will find their favourite place at the Vodafone zone, where promising students of the Písek Film Academy will present their works from 2.00 pm. The Czech cinema will also be represented at the gala screening of Jiří Mádl’s film Waves at the Grand Hall at 2 pm. Further important film events will be happening in the early evening. In addition to the premieres of films included in the Proxima Competition and the Crystal Globe Competition, you can visit the screening of Enough Said! by renowned American director Nicole Holofcener at the Pupp cinema hall at 7.00 pm.

And if you do leave the safety of cinemas, the Czech Television House offers discussions for the films Amerikánka, Our Lovely Pig Slaughter or The End of the World. At KVIFF.TV Park, Jarmila Poláková will be accepted to the APA Producers Hall of Fame at 12.15 pm., and Meet & Greet with the creators of the competition films Our Lovely Pig Slaughter and Panopticon will take place at the same venue at 1.15 and 4 pm, respectively. You can stay for a concert of Annet X & NobodyListen at 9.00 pm. The ORLEN zone will present Jan Smigmator at 7.00 pm, and the Moondance Orchestra will perform at the Mattoni Life Bar from 9.00 pm.

We also invite you to activities offering first-hand experience, such as dubbing or a video quiz at innogy Point, a yoga lesson at the ORLEN zone or Vodafone zone at 10 am, or you can try your chance and win interesting prizes at Rohlík Park at 4 pm.
