(Make Aliens Dance)
Directed by: Sebastien Petretti / Belgium, United Kingdom, 2018, 25 min

Mike is a music producer going through a rough time in his life. Dan is a sound engineer who is tired of his job. Their autistic brother Murphy has his headphones basically glued to his ears. And their mother Lilli is acting far from normal. What’s brought on this situation? The answer can be found on tapes safely stored in their small recording studio. Winner of the Audience Award at the 2019 Prague Short Film Festival.

Reconstruction
(Rekonstrukce)
Directed by: Ondřej Novák, Jiří Havlíček / Czech Republic, 2018, 16 min

Seventeen-year-old Olda is awaiting trial at a juvenile detention center. The monotony of life behind bars gradually mingles with memories of a police reconstruction. It took just one summer night for boredom to turn into a cruel game that resulted in death. Special Jury Mention in the National Competition at the 2019 Prague Short Film Festival.

A Stone Slowly Falls
(En sten faller langsomt ned)
Directed by: Kerren Lumer-Klabbers / Norway, 2018, 15 min

When an annual meteor shower fails to appear for no apparent reason, Tor concludes that everything is meaningless. But as he tries to live with this newfound knowledge, it looks as if his curiosity might become a problem. A Stone Slowly Falls, whose unexpectedly playful narrative presents an unconventional view of depression and offers insight into the human psyche, earned two Special Jury Mentions for the director and the lead actor in the International Competition at the 2019 Prague Short Film Festival.

Sugar and Salt
(Cukr a sůl)
Directed by: Adam Martinec / Czech Republic, 2018, 19 min

It awaits each of us one day. Death – the final destination where nobody wants to end up. But over the course of our lives we must all eventually come to terms with it. Voted Best Film in the National Competition at the 2019 Prague Short Film Festival.

Tremors
(Drżenia)
Directed by: Dawid Bodzak / Poland, 2018, 21 min

Imagine that you’re in the forest. It’s dark, quiet, empty. You don’t know why you’re there. You suddenly hear a howl. You’re afraid. You want to be anyplace else. You see a wolf, then another, and another. They come closer and closer and surround you. What do you do now? Winner of the Grand Prix in the International Competition at the 2019 Prague Short Film Festival.
