Festival tips for Thursday, July 6

July 06, 2023, 8:00

The 57th KVIFF began exactly a week ago, yet the festival programme has still lots to offer. Today, it will take us to an adventure beyond the colonnade. At 1.00 PM, a festival train departs from Karlovy Vary railway station to Loket, where you can enjoy a programme with a local guide, a tour of film locations and museums. For more details, see the accompanying programme.

The afternoon will be dedicated to film comedies. The Karlovy Vary Municipal Theatre will honour the actress Daniela Kolářová with a screening of the classic comedy Ball Lightning, commencing at 4.00 PM. An hour later, the Great Hall will attract the international audience to the premiere screening of Fremont, included in the Crystal Globe Competition.

Films will be screened in cinemas until late evening, when you can visit the iconic film The Way of the Dragon, starring Bruce Lee, in the framework of the Midnight Screenings, starting at the Great Hall at 12 AM. If you prefer music productions, visit the Mattoni Life Bar, which presents themayrevolution at 6.00 PM, Ewa Farna at 9.00 PM and DJ Aid Kid at 10.00 PM.

The complete accompanying programme is available here.
