Synopsis

A young tenor named Adam dreams of a singing career and he finally gets his big chance. He is engaged to sing at a New Year’s Eve concert with the Warsaw Philharmonic. On the evening of the concert an old and helpless neighbor asks him for help. Adam isn’t one to refuse to accompany an old woman, but their walk out in the cold and wet causes him to lose his voice. Desperate, Adam tries futilely to get his vocal chords to work and can now only wait for a miracle. He sets off for the concert in a terrible mood, aware that an opportunity is about to be wasted.
