Festival Tips for Thursday 10 July

The last two films to compete in the Crystal Globe Competition are Better Go Mad in the Wild and Cinema Jazireh and both are having their world premieres. They will be shown in the Grand Hall, with delegations present, at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively. The Small Hall will then close with the Proxima Competition world premieres of Forensics (3 p.m.) and TrepaNation (6 p.m.).

At 4 p.m., the Karlovy Vary Theatre will be honoured to host the legendary editor Jiří Brožek, who will present the melancholic classic The Death of the Beautiful Deer. A delegation will arrive in the Čas Cinema for the European premiere of Tehran Another View (6 p.m.).

As always, KVIFF.TV Park is expecting numerous talks and discussions. The first of KVIFF Talks will welcome a delegation for the film Caravan. It will be followed by a Meet & Greet with the creators of the competition films Don’t Call Me Mama (1:30 p.m.) and Bidad (4 p.m.), which had their world premieres yesterday. KVIFF X space with be occupied by the Caban brothers (2:30 p.m.). The series of public talks will conclude with Jan Pokorný’s Talk Show (7 p.m.) with Ester Geislerová, Ondřej Sokol and Milan Šteindler.

Ohm Square will play at 9 p.m. at the same venue, and you can listen to the singer-songwriter Pokáč at Mattoni Life Bar at the same time.
